The Banff Centre Purchase Prize
The Banff Centre has generously purchased a book to be added to the Artist’s Book collection of the Paul D. Fleck Library and Archives at The Banff Centre. The Artist’s Book collection consists of over 4000 works including many rare and unique books and bookworks created by artists in Canada and abroad. In addition to works that embody traditional book formats, this collection also includes multiples, unbound/open works, photoworks, mail art, and artist's ephemera.
Lisa Isley’s “It Just Takes 1” has been selected for The Banff Centre Purchase Prize. We are very excited to add Lisa’s work to our collection. The subject matter, style and artistry of the book all complement existing items in our collection and will only serve to enhance our current holdings. I would also add that it is an honour for us to be contributors to the Pulp Paper Pages exhibition.
